读万卷书不如行万里路

When I am a kid, I always envied those friends whose parents will bring them out on holiday during every school holidays. Not that my parents cannot afford but they are a batch of traditional folks where their main concern is earning more money. Having said so, we still managed to visit a few Asian countries like Thailand, Hong Kong etc.

As I grew older, going on holiday is like a reward to me. When I am too stress with work and life, I would go on a holiday to refresh myself. When choosing the countries to travel, my top priority is always the transport system in the country. As I do not drive overseas, therefore I like countries where its public transport is easily accesible. As I do not swim, therefore beach destinations are "no no" to me and I prefer a more modern and developed countries. With all these in mind, my favorite country to travel is Japan. I love the people and culture there. Everyone are so polite and helpful which also affected me to be like them. Japan is both modern and traditional where you can do shopping and yet visit shrine and temples. I always like to shop for kitchen accessories in Japan as Japanese are so innovative with their small gadgets that it never fails to amaze me.

I love the feeling of exploring, trying and seeing new things. After knowing Bok, I love the chemistry between   Bok and me during travelling. Bok is like my 3 year old niece, as he is always experiencing many first times in his 30s years of age. Therefore, watching him exploring and make funny mistakes makes the whole trip interesting. We have some unspoken rule that we will at least go holiday twice a year and sometimes even more.

Having repeatedly travelling to a couple of countries many times, my biggest wish now is to go Europe. I think I will not enjoy the treatment I am expecting to receive from there but I am looking forward to the bags that is asking me to buy them there. Bok will hate there as his pocket will burn a big hole as I will not be satisfy with just 1 bag to add on my bags collection. I am also hoping to revisit South Africa again as I did not see much of the country during my business trip many years ago.

2012, is a year of doubts again like 201.Where I have too many schedules to think and cater to and no big trip could be plan.
